LEDON Lamp GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zumtobel AG, Austria.  Together with the luminaire brands Zumtobel and Thorn and the component expert Tridonic it belongs to the Zumtobel Group. This corporation is one of the few global players of the lighting industry and is European market leader in the professional lighting sector.

The newest branch of the Zumtobel Group is wholly committed to LED technology. As such, long-term lighting expertise merges with innovative LED technology to become one entity.

The LED modules for all LEDON LED lamps are developed and manufactured in Jennersdorf. Ledon Lighting Jennersdorf which is now called Tridonic Jennersdorf GmbH was one of the world's first LED specialists. Today the company is one of the international pacemakers with the development and manufacture of high quality, energy efficient LED components and LED modules.

The sister company Ledon OLED, located in Dresden, Germany, is completely focused on OLED Technology.

The common foundation of all brands within the Zumtobel Group is the consistent orientation towards innovation and new technologies, and the themes of energy efficiency and sustainability have top priority.
